Event organizers from Progression Mechanics approached me to design an identity system for their new two-day conference. They needed an energetic yet academically-aligned logo and website that would appeal to Chicago-area video game developers.
I designed a multifaceted mark with several layers of meaning. Our clairvoyant Big Boss is inspired by geometric SHMUPs and flowchart assets, implying deep dialog, complex relationships, and granular detail. Hidden within are the initials “PM.”
The completion of the project included a one-page website and a full identity package, detailing use of the mark, selected typeface, colors, patterns, etc..
